Please read AQUATIP 1 first. Adding conditioner to a swimming pool is probably the easiest part of salt system water chemistry maintenance. It also is the one most people are probably the most clueless about. Adding Conditioner to a pool was something new for me. I did not read my Owners Manual very well and overlooked the importance of adding Conditioner.
That first hot summer with my new salt system taught me a quick lesson about the need to monitor the Conditioner level and add Conditioner if needed. At my house, twice a year I add Conditioner into my skimmer with the filter pump running. I rely on a Professional Pool Supply Store to analyze the water for Conditioner level and recommend the quantity of Conditioner to add. It is that simple.
